FAQ – Running calculator

Pace is the time per 1 km (min/km). Enter distance and time, and the calculator will automatically compute pace and speed. You can also enter pace to calculate the total time for a selected distance.
Pace (min/km) shows how long it takes to run one kilometer and is the most practical metric for training. Speed (km/h) is the same value expressed as distance per hour. The calculator shows both.
Splits are intermediate times for specific segments (e.g. every 1 km or each lap). They help maintain even pacing during training and races, especially on a track or when using lap-based timing.
Set the lap length in meters (e.g. 200, 250, 333, 500). The calculator will generate cumulative split times for each lap and the finish time, even for distances like “12.5 laps”.
Yes — results update automatically without pressing a “Calculate” button. The source of calculations is the field you edit last: time or pace. Changing one instantly updates the other and all outputs.
The “Check your result – Polish military fitness test (WF)” section compares your 3000 m run with official WF standards. The calculator derives the 3 km time from your pace (or uses a direct 3 km time) and, after selecting sex and age, shows the percentage of maximum and the gap to the top score.
No — this calculator covers only the 3000 m run. To calculate the full Polish Military Physical Fitness Test (all events, total points and final grade), use the “Calculate full WF test” button — your data will be transferred automatically.
Set the distance to 3000 m and read your per-kilometer pace and 400 m splits. This gives you a clear target pace to maintain on the track. You can also copy the splits and use them as a pacing plan for training or a test run.
